PhD in Sociology of Communication, Culture and Education at ISCTE-IUL (2005); Master in Communication, Culture and Information Technologies at ISCTE-IUL (2002); and with a Post-Graduation and Degree in Public Relations and Advertising from INP (1991). Author and co-author of several publications and scientific articles. University Professor since 1992, he is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Human Sciences of Universidade Católica Portuguesa; since July 2019 he is coordinator of EPG - Graduate School and Advanced Training at FCH; and since October 2016, he has been a Research Member of CECC - Center for Studies in Communication and Culture at FCH, in the MEDTEC - Media, Technology and Contexts research line. His main research areas are focused on strategic communication and television studies. Represents FCH as a Founding Member in the activities of OCI - Observatory of Internal Communication and Corporate Identity. He was also a television professional for twenty years (1985-2004) at RTP where he held various positions and structure in areas such as production, directing, public relations, marketing and management of television programming, as well as being one of the general coordinators of the Fénix de restructuring of the Public Radio and Television Service operator in Portugal.
