Psychology undergraduate students from the Faculdade de Ciências Humanas (FCH - UCP/Lisbon) and Faculdade de Educação e Psicologia (FEP - UCP/Porto) participated in a collaborative project that provided the development of scientific and transversal skills such as critical thinking, communication skills, ability to adapt to new situations, problem solving and teamwork.
This project had the duration of 5 weeks and was attended by 118 students, who reflected on the societal changes involving the families living in Portugal in the 21st century, mirrored in the results of the Census 2021.
As part of curricular differentiation, the collaboration project took place within the scope of the 3rd year under the coordination of Rita Francisco and Vânia Sousa Lima, of Psychology of the Family (FCH) and of Systemic and Narrative Models (FEP), respectively.
Through a partnership between the two UCP faculties, this initiative aimed to promote among students the development of essential skills in the professional practice of psychologists in a constantly changing environment.
