The exploratory project "Other Institution(s)" by CECC professor and researcher Luísa Santos will be funded by Globus Opstart supported from the Nordic Culture Fund.
Other Institution(s) é um projecto exploratório, em forma de think tank, que pretende compreender os actuais processos de transição das instituições artísticas contemporâneas, face a desafios sociais como falta de inclusividade e de sustentabilidade(s). A nanogaleria e HANGAR (Portugal), The Listening Academy (Noruega), a Tensta Konsthall (Suécia), o Museum of Impossible Forms (Finlândia) e a Jan van Eyck Academie (Holanda) irão, conjuntamente, testar metodologias e criar uma proposta de código de conduta para novas práticas institucionais.
Other Institution(s) is an exploratory project, in the form of a think tank, that aims to understand the current transition processes of contemporary art institutions, facing social challenges such as lack of inclusivity and sustainability. Nanogaleria and HANGAR (Portugal), The Listening Academy (Norway), Tensta Konsthall (Sweden), the Museum of Impossible Forms (Finland) and Jan van Eyck Academie (Netherlands) will jointly test methodologies and create a proposed code of conduct for new institutional practices.
This project, which had the collaboration of researcher Ana Fabíola Maurício, is part of the 2019-24 research plan of researcher Luísa Santos, under the title permacultures of care.
