Based on the drafting of a Dissertation Project, this seminar is intended to train students on research methods and tools that allow them to carry out this project in a timely manner and with the maximum scientific and social impact. As such, students will have to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of the scientific method and its application and limitations;
- Know how to present hypotheses as well as concrete and consequent research questions;
- Define relevant variables, identifying the best methods for obtaining and analyzing them;
- Apply statistical methods for characterizing variables and obtaining conclusions;
- Stipulate intermediate objectives and moments of preliminary validation;
- Gain the ability to adapt or adjust projects according to preliminary analysis;
- Know how to perform bibliographic analyzes for literature review;
- Discern and evaluate the quality of scientific articles;
- Write quality scientific articles and papers.
