Based on the drafting of a Dissertation Project, this seminar is intended to train students on research methods and tools that allow them to carry out this project in a timely manner and with the maximum scientific and social impact. As such, students will have to:

• Demonstrate knowledge of the scientific method and its application and limitations;
• Know how to present hypotheses as well as concrete and consequent research questions; 
• Define relevant variables, identifying the best methods for obtaining and analyzing them; 
• Apply statistical methods for characterizing variables and obtaining conclusions; 
• Stipulate intermediate objectives and moments of preliminary validation;
• Gain the ability to adapt or adjust projects according to preliminary analysis; 
• Know how to perform bibliographic analyzes for literature review; 
• Discern and evaluate the quality of scientific articles; 
• Write quality scientific articles and papers.
