Clinical Interventions with Children and Adolescents

6 ECTS / Semester / Portuguese
  • Goal 1: to know and understand the specificities of psychological intervention with children, adolescents and parents;
  • Goal 2: to reflect on the ethical aspects of clinical intervention with children and adolescents;
  • Goal 3: to understand the nature of the main mental disorders in childhood and adolescence;
  • Goal 4: to develop skills of case conceptualization and skills of treatment planning;
  • Goal 5: to understand methodologies and develop skills of clinical intervention with children and adolescents;
  • Goal 6: to know and critically appraise evidence-based psychological interventions for children, adolescents, and parents, regarding the most common mental health problems;
  • Goal 7: critically appraise the need to adjust clinical interventions based on developmental and cultural aspects.
